I am so excited about holding the 2026 workshop at a fabulous venue in the Chianti region of Tuscany - La Chiara di Prumiano. We've had the workshop there the past 2 years, and I can easily say it is the best place ever for a workshop!
Come learn to create loose, passionate paintings of Italian still lifes, landscapes and/or portraits in the Russian Impressionist tradition. Each student will be led at their own pace through the basics of oil painting – exploring value, color temperature, intensity and edges. All levels of painters are welcome –from absolute beginners to advanced. We'll provide all your painting materials (from brushes & paint to easels & palettes), your scrumptious meals and your ground transportation to and from the train station in Florence.
You'll stay seven nights at La Chiara di Prumiano (https://www.prumiano.it/en/) - a villa dating back to the 1600's, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and wonderful woods.
The first evening Pam will paint a demonstration painting. The next mornings and afternoons class will be held in our studio and/or in the surrounding countryside. We will ask local residents to model for us, if you are interested in portraits. The studio will be available to paint in 24/7. This will be a small workshop limited to 12 students or less.
We’ll help you with all the information you’ll need for a wonderful experience painting in Tuscany. We’ll even ship your paintings home to you at the conclusion of the workshop.
The food, the light, the people & the atmosphere of Italy can't help but inspire you. Once you try this, you'll be dreaming of it the rest of your life. It really is a fantastic experience.
Artist (double occupancy) $2,800
