Whenever I get a glimpse of Mount Rainier from my studio window, I'm reminded how small my life is. Last April I got the idea to paint “A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE MOUNTAIN.” On April 26th, 2015 I enjoyed the light transforming our mountain hour after hour, taking lots of photos. Then I chose my five favorite aspects of her for a series of paintings. It was breath taking to watch the mountain change throughout the day! They say everything changes. I feel honored to experience that truth with such a majestic companion.
