Israel

Over the past 30 years I watched Israel create MANY spectacular monumental carvings out of cedar, year after year to preserve his culture and art. He has been perpetuating the Tlingit art forms so future generations will know their culture.

He put his heart and soul into his masterpieces. His depth of his cultural knowledge shines through his spirituality which he passes on to our children and grandchildren. He is a true living cultural treasure.
