Lotus

Staring out my bedroom window overlooking a beautiful garden I watched a failing woman struggle doing what she loves most, tending her flowers, fruit and vegetables. Then mid day she sat in the shade eating all that she had harvested with her wife and sometimes other friends.  So much laughter and joy could be heard.   I longed to be sitting with them soaking up the sun, her wisdom and share their love. I was lost, lonely and very sad.  I believe that the powers beyond and the spirit of my deceased husband led me to "the secret garden".  I am now living with Lotus and her wife Barbara; not only do I have the privilege of being her caretaker, I am learning that it is possible to love and be loved again.
